PHOTOS OF SERIAL BANK ROBBERS ADDED TO FBI’S BANK ROBBERY WEBSITE - PUBLIC’S HELP SOUGHT IN IDENTIFYING SUSPECTS

Two unidentified bank bandits who have robbed multiple banks in recent weeks have been added to the FBI’s Los Angeles bank robbery website, “labankrobbers.org,”  announced J. Stephen Tidwell, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI in Los Angeles.

The “Manicured Nails Bandit,” an unidentified Hispanic female bank robber, and the “Mutton Chops Bandit,” an unidentified white male bank robber, began robbing banks earlier this month.

The Mutton Chops Bandit earned his nickname by wearing what has been described by witnesses as a fake goatee and sideburns; he wears dark sunglasses, a baseball hat and latex gloves.  The unidentified white male demands money during his robberies by using a note and is believed to be responsible for the following bank robberies north of Los Angeles:

7/2/07             Mid-State Bank & Trust, Santa Maria

08/06/07         Washington Mutual, 445 Madonna Road, San Luis Obispo

08/13/07         Mid-State Bank & Trust, 613 W. Tefft Street, Nipomo
